Role Responsibilities
* Monitor theatre lists within specialty and liaise with specialty Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) or doctor's rooms to ensure material resources are available
* Coordinate theatre equipment, consumables, instruments with accuracy and in a cost-effective manner
* Ensure the delivery of excellent patient and family‐centred care in a team‐focused environment
* Work clinically to support VMO and staff (60% Clinical, 40% administration) – flexibility to work AM/PM dependant on operational requirements
* Provide guidance, mentoring and support to your team
* Ensure compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Knowledge of Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards (ACORN) and awareness of legislative requirements
* Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in theatre, particularly in orthopaedics
* Demonstrated management experience
* Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
* Excellence in written and verbal communication including advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Desirable Criteria
* Tertiary post graduate qualifications in a relevant Nursing specialty
* Understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislation
* Understanding and implementation of quality improvement, change management, models of care, evidence-based practice and practice development

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement: Healthscope – NSWNMA / AMNF - Nurses and Midwives Agreement – NUM classification starting from $68.87 to $74.06 per hour.
