Are you a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in the Perthshire area keen to develop your career with an ambitious engineering firm in growth mode?
We are delighted to be working alongside a truly forward thinking local engineering business, who specialise in providing bulk handling and storage solutions across a diverse client base in the agriculture and whisky distillery sectors. This is an excellent entry level role, one where the business is committed to providing key development / support to the successful candidate.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer your principal accountabilities will include:
* Carrying out design and development work under the guidance of experienced engineers to meet customers and / or the industry's needs.
* Assisting with surveying of sites.
* Drawing dimensioned sketches whilst surveying onsite.
* Engineering design of steelwork using 3D CAD (Solidworks).
* Producing 2D fabrication drawings from 3D CAD models.
* Liaising with suppliers and fabricators.
* Collecting materials and parts from suppliers using company vehicle.
* Assisting with fabrication in the workshop alongside wider team.
* Inspection of machinery, equipment and steelwork for quality assurance.
* Assisting with onsite installation and the supervision of these alongside wider team.
* Assisting with onsite commissioning of machinery and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
* An understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Demonstrate initiative on problem solving within assigned tasks.
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently managing your own workload.
* A friendly, ambitious, and confident approach with flexibility and resilience.
* Full clean driving licence (essential).
