Session leader

About the role

We're currently seeking a Session Leader to join our team at the Marion Donor Centre. Reporting to the Donor Centre Manager, you'll provide operational oversight to ensure that the end-to-end donation experience runs efficiently with no compromise on quality or safety.

As a Session Leader, you'll provide direction, inspiration and support for your team to achieve common goals and foster team effectiveness, as well as managing tough issues with respect. You'll value self‐awareness and reflect on your own strengths and areas for development, making you an even stronger leader.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a supportive and safe experience to our amazing donors
• Develop and coach teams
• Physically insert and remove needles to collect donations (training provided)
• Act as the first point of contact for any complex donor assessments
• Provide clinical oversight to team to ensure phlebotomy success
• Show pride in upholding our high safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Strong Leadership experience in a supervisory or management role
• Experience coaching teams and providing performance feedback
• Comfortable leading and motivating teams to consistently achieve KPI targets
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build a warm connection with donors
• Collaborative nature with a strong sense of teamwork
• Digital and technical aptitude
• Be flexible to work 9 shifts per fortnight, across a rotating roster – Monday to Sunday
• Clinical background or experience (desirable)

Job Details

Location: Marion Donor Centre, South Australia.

Salary: starting from $47+ per hour + penalties + super + salary packaging and more.

Hours: 64 hours per fortnight over 9 shifts across a rotating roster – Monday to Sunday.
