About the Position
We are seeking a seasoned Windows VDI System Administrator to support our team in delivering modern mobility solutions for senior government officials. This role will contribute to the design, build, test, and operation of ICT systems and network services.
The successful candidate will have experience administering security software, system integration, and configuration. They will also be responsible for managing and supporting Secured End User Computing (EUC) Environment procedures and standards, designing, testing, deploying, and automating Windows operating system builds, and developing and operating backup and recovery services for virtualized Windows systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and highly skilled team, with a competitive remuneration package and 12 months contract period with two possible extensions.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer management and support of security software system integration and configuration.
* Administer Secured End User Computing (EUC) Environment (Active Directory Management Group Policy) procedures and standards.
* Design test deploy and automate Windows operating system builds.
* Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised Windows systems.
* Develop and implement strategies for optimisation and scalability of Virtual environments.
* Develop and operate a windows server platform including Active Directory DNS PKI remote desktop services WSUS etc.
* Build test and maintain system images and provide integration for VDI Platforms.
* Implement VDI performance monitoring and tool tuning for a dynamic network environment.
* Support and Monitor Virtual Windows Desktop environment. (Citrix CVAD / NetScaler)
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience or qualifications in Microsoft Server and Desktop technologies, including Exchange, WSUS, MECM, SCCM, and AD. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting, building, deploying, and managing virtual desktop SOEs, and advanced Windows troubleshooting is also essential.
