BX Bunka Australia, specifically Steel-Line Garage Doors is looking for a competent individual to fill the role of Business Development Executive on a full-time basis working out of the Sunshine Coast Branch.

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding market share within the garage door industry, with a primary focus on developing relationships with residential builders and retail customers. This role will focus on new business generation, increasing product sales volume, and positioning the company as a market leader in the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the residential construction and retail markets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Territory Management: Conduct regular territory reviews via quarterly business reviews and market update data focusing on top 10 customers and territory plans for declining customers (spend and quantity of doors ordered)
* New Business Development:

Aggressively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with residential builders and retail customers to achieve sales targets and increase product volume and track all leads via a Pipeline management tool, utilise ERP (Sage) for all quotes and the organisations CRM system.
* Market Share Expansion:

Focus on gaining market share by introducing the company's garage door solutions to new clients, markets, and geographic regions.
* Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including residential builders, contractors, retail, resellers, insurance companies to enhance repeat business and customer loyalty.
* Sales Strategy Implementation:

Execute sales strategies aligned with company goals and set plans, focusing on door volume growth in targeted markets, and track progress through detailed sales reporting and forecasting minimum monthly.
* Customer Education:

Serve as a product expert, educating customers and prospects on the company's full range of garage door products, features, and benefits, ensuring the right solutions are presented based on customer needs.
* Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to proactively adapt strategies.
* Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience and support promotional initiatives.
* Sales Targets:

Achieve and exceed sales quotas by driving garage door sales to new and existing customers, focusing on key growth areas such as door volume increases and margin improvement, and upselling of accessory sales.
* Event Representation:

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to build brand presence and connect with potential clients. Travel may be required to attend such as intra company conferences.

Qualifications:

* Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the garage door, building materials, or construction industries.
* Strong experience in developing new business, particularly with residential builders, contractors, and retail channels.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Knowledge of garage door products and industry trends is an asset.
* Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, and events.
