Role Description
This is a remote advisory role for a Clinical Advisor (GP), with a clear pathway to becoming Chief Medical Officer (CMO) as the platform scales.
The Clinical Advisor will contribute to clinical governance, support development of safe and compliant care models, and provide strategic input into telehealth workflows and systems. The role includes participating in weekly governance discussions, advising on clinical decision‐making processes, and supporting onboarding and guidance of contracted GPs.
This position plays a key role in shaping clinical standards, ensuring quality and compliance, and building a strong clinical foundation for the platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic input on telehealth workflows, clinical processes, and care models
* Ensure alignment with Australian clinical standards and regulatory expectations
* Support development of clinical governance frameworks and safe care delivery practices
* Participate in weekly governance discussions with the founding team
* Assist with onboarding and guiding contracted GPs, including clinical expectations and safe workflows
* Provide guidance on clinical considerations, edge cases, and evolving scenarios
* Contribute to continuous improvement of quality, safety, and compliance standards
As Dociva scales, this role will evolve into a Chief Medical Officer position, with responsibility for clinical governance, risk frameworks, and leadership of the clinical function.
Engagement Model
* Remote and flexible
* Approx. 1–2 hours per week initially
* Advisory role (no routine patient consultations required)
* Equity‐based compensation (no cash retainer at this stage)
* Long‐term opportunity aligned with leadership progression
Qualifications
* Fully registered GP with AHPRA (no conditions or restrictions)
* Strong clinical experience within Australian healthcare settings
* Demonstrated understanding of telehealth and clinical responsibility
* Experience or interest in digital health, clinical governance, or healthcare systems
* Ability to think at both clinical and systems level
* Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
* Comfortable working in a remote and early‐stage startup environment
