Overview
* The role of AOD Support Worker is a dynamic position that requires the ability to navigate and understand AOD services.
Key Responsibilities
* Support senior team members in effective treatment and intervention planning, addressing identified client needs.
* Participate in the orientation and ongoing support of new residents.
* Provide practical and emotional support to residents during admissions and discharges.
* Facilitate group interventions focused on various treatment modalities.
* Supervise daily house and domestic activities when required.
* Provide support to residents attending off-site appointments and visits.
* Maintain accurate and timely client documentation and case notes.
Requirements
* 2+ years' experience working within the AOD or mental health sector.
* Case management skills and ability to write clear and professional case notes/handover notes.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* High level interpersonal and communication skills.
* Certificate IV in AOD or AOD Skill Set.
* Ideally qualifications in a health-related discipline (e.g., social work, youth work, mental health, psychology).
