About The Role
- Analysing large datasets of both structured and unstructured data to discover trends and patterns.
- Developing machine learning algorithms and crafting generative AI prompts.
- Deploying modelling solutions into operational practices, applying systematic test plans and quality assurance processes to ensure quality and integrity.
- Creating user and training documentation for deployed solutions.
- Working in a cross‑functional capacity to understand key business problems that need to be addressed and proposing solutions.
- Mentoring, educating, and inspiring others within the team and across the business around the value of data science methods and best practices.
- Collaborating with broader Data and Analytics teams to ensure robust, scalable, and sustainable advanced analytics solutions are delivered to solve business problems.
About You
- Proven experience in a Data Scientist role, applying data science methods to solve complex business problems within a commercial setting.
- Experience or strong interest in creating generative AI prompts and agents.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python and SQL, applying these languages for data engineering, machine learning or generative AI modeling, as well as model monitoring.
- Experience working with Databricks (preferred).
- Degree in a highly quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics (or equivalent).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver pragmatic, commercially viable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
