Job Description
The role of an Estimator/Project Manager is to provide support to the senior management team in delivering projects and contributing to business activities while ensuring alignment with company vision and philosophies.
Responsibilities:
* Develop high-level cost estimates to assist clients with project feasibility and budget planning.
* Measure and calculate material, labor, and equipment quantities required for the project.
* Lead single or multiple projects with the senior leadership team.
* Collaborate effectively within a team and build strong relationships.
* Contribute to team efforts and individual tasks.
* Coordinate discipline-specific activities, including estimating and project management plans.
* Stay informed about business unit strategies.
* Manage assigned projects efficiently, ensuring scope and detail align with proposals.
* Apply standard practices and procedures within the organization.
* Assist in client briefings and project delivery.
* Contribute to project reporting and client liaison.
* Understand and manage critical success factors in discipline-specific activities.
* Communicate sensitive information tactfully to clients.
* Maintain up-to-date best practice documentation.
* Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
* Manage time proactively and demonstrate reliability.
* Achieve time, cost, and quality targets under direction.
* Exhibit cost-consciousness in project management.
About the Candidate:
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience in estimation is highly valued.
* Skilled in discipline-specific IT software (e.g., Cost X, Mud Shark, Expert Estimation, MS Project, Primavera P6).
* Possess passion for the role with a desire to grow within the organization.
* Student membership or professional registration with relevant bodies (e.g., Engineers Australia, AIQS, RICS).
* High integrity with confidentiality regarding company and client information.
* Thorough knowledge of project types.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive.
* Positive, 'can-do' attitude.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Self-motivated with efficient job performance capabilities.
