About the Role
Working closely with the Director and Educational Leader, the Assistant Director supports the day-to-day operations of the centre while contributing to high-quality educational practice, compliance, and team leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting centre operations, staffing, and daily organisation
* Leading and mentoring educators to deliver high-quality programs aligned with EYLF v2.0
* Assisting with compliance under the National Quality Framework (NQF)
* Building positive relationships with families and the wider community
* Supporting Quality Improvement Planning (QIP) and reflective practice
* Acting as Responsible Person in the Director's absence
About You
You will bring:
* Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
* Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
* Sound knowledge of the EYLF v2.0, NQS and regulatory requirements
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A calm, respectful leadership style with a team-focused mindset
* A genuine commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice
Leadership experience is highly regarded but not essential – we welcome applicants who are ready to grow into the role with mentoring and support.
