About The Opportunity
Parkes Shire Council is looking for a Backhoe Operator to join the Infrastructure team.
In this role you will be required to operate and maintain Council's backhoe safely and effectively to support the construction and maintenance of Council infrastructure. You will also operate other plant as required and assist with civil works, including sewer repairs, broken mains and treatment plant maintenance.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
* Current and maintained NSW Driver's Licence.
* SafeWork NSW Construction induction (White Card).
* Traffic Control qualifications: Traffic Controller and implementation of a Traffic Control plan.
Preferred Qualified Certifications
* Certificate III in Civil Construction.
* Plant Operation certificates.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
Employment Details
Grade 6 of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $59,708.75 ($30.22 to $34.75 per hour), determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Benefits are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
