About the Role

Join our team as a Grade 2 Social Worker or Grade 2 Psychologist on a full‐time, fixed‐term basis until March 2027. This position is working with our SECASA program and will work across multiple Monash Health sites.

The SECASA Children Young People and families team provides assessment and intervention for children, young people and their families who have experienced sexual assault / family violence and/or who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour.

As a valued member of our Children Young People and Families team you will work as part of a committed, supportive, and vibrant team. You will be supported to demonstrate and develop your quality clinical practice within our highly regarded service.

About Us

The Southern Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA), is a program of Monash Health and has the responsibility in the Southern Region of the Department of Families, Fairness & Housing (DFFH), for:

* The provision and development of effective services to victims/survivors and associated people affected by sexual assault and family violence
* The provision of assessment and treatment for children and young people who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour.
* The provision of public education and professional training on sexual assault and anti‐violence issues
* Social planning and processes related to reducing societal violence.
About You

As the successful candidate, you will have a strong commitment to, and understanding of, the personal and political issues surrounding sexual assault, family violence and harmful sexual behaviours in children and young people. You will have professional experience working with young people and responding to complex trauma related to sexual assault and/or family violence.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their experience in delivering high‐quality assessments and therapeutic support using a strengths‐based approach, drawing on evidence‐based, trauma‐informed interventions. You will be able to work collaboratively with key agencies, within the scope of relevant legislation and professional guidelines. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and contribute to a resilient team.
