About the Role
We are seeking a motivated External Auditor to join our audit team. This role offers flexibility for candidates with 1-2 years of full-time or part-time experience in external audit or public practice. You will be responsible for conducting independent audits and assisting clients with compliance and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and perform external audits in compliance with Australian Auditing Standards
- Review financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations
- Identify risks, fraud indicators, and control weaknesses
- Prepare audit findings and reports with clear recommendations
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve audit issues
- Assist clients in improving financial reporting and compliance processes
- Collaborate with audit team members to ensure timely completion of audits
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in external audit (full-time or part-time)
- CPA qualification completed or currently registered as a CPA (or CA qualification)
- Strong understanding of Australian Auditing Standards and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with audit software (e.g., CaseWare) preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits
Working Conditions
