Hester Hornbrook Academy is a registered Special Assistance School dedicated to "Wellbeing for Learning and Learning for Wellbeing." We are values-driven and trauma-informed, delivering flexible, inclusive education to young people aged 15-25 across multiple campuses in Greater Melbourne. Our HOPE (Healing Oriented Program of Education) model underpins everything we do, integrating academic, wellbeing, and life skills learning.

Position Purpose (abridged; full details in Candidate Information Pack)
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Hester Hornbrook, the Head of Campus (HOC) Geelong is primarily responsible for leadership, coaching and mentoring and day to day operations of their designated campus, its staff (approximately 45) and the students (220 enrolment capacity). They are required to work collaboratively with the campus Wellbeing Team Leaders to ensure that every student has access to high quality learning for wellbeing and wellbeing for learning, to ensure positive pathways post-secondary school.
As the new Geelong campus of Hester Hornbrook Academy (opening in 2027), with a total capacity of 220 student, this leader will be required to build external networks, grow enrolments and develop the consistent whole of school culture of a new team of staff and cohort of students. They will be required to have a strong understanding of our HOPE and an ability to think innovatively to engage young people in wellbeing for learning and learning for wellbeing.
Position Duties and Responsibilities (abridged; full details in Candidate Information Pack)
As Head of Campus – Geelong, you will be a key member of Hester Hornbrook Academy's Senior Leadership Team and lead the day-to-day operations, strategic direction, and culture of our new campus.
You will:
* Establish and grow a new education setting that is safe, respectful, and productive.
* Lead a multidisciplinary team including teachers, youth workers, and support staff.
* Build enrolments, community networks, and inclusive culture from the ground up.
* Support students with complex needs through evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
* Promote high expectations and post-secondary success pathways for every student.
* Ensure operational compliance, policy development, budget management, and registration standards.

We are looking for a dynamic and values-aligned leader who:
* Has proven experience in educational leadership, staff mentoring, and campus management.
* Understands trauma-informed, restorative, and inclusive education practices.
* Demonstrates strategic thinking, innovation, and cultural change leadership.
* Thrives in cross-functional, collaborative teams.
* Can confidently lead complex enrolment transitions and community engagement.
* Brings expertise in VRQA compliance, student wellbeing frameworks, and data-informed decision making.

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in education or leadership.
* Current Working with Children Check (Employee), National Police Check, Driver's Licence.
* VIT registration (or eligibility).
* Commitment to Child Safe Standards and inclusive practice.
