The Clinical Psychologist, within an interdisciplinary and professional team, performs clinical, consultative, educational, and research psychology services with individuals, couples, families, groups, other professionals, and organizational systems regarding complex psychological and mental health difficulties.
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will practice in accordance with laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice as per the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), WA Health Code of Conduct, and SMHS policies and guidelines.
You should have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be eligible for full registration and endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
You should have the ability to function with a high degree of competence and initiative, under general to limited direction, in various roles such as clinician, consultant, teacher, researcher/evaluator, and agent of change within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in evidenced-based clinical psychological assessment, formulation, interventions, and interview techniques within the relevant client group and clinical specialty is essential.
