The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Foreman to work within our Asphalt business, based in Yatala. The primary purpose of this role is to help lead and control various projects, to agreed budgets and programs, ensuring all specifications and quality parameters are achieved in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Day to day job planning and execution of worksLead the asphalt crew and ensure that the works are completed within the prescribed timeframesDaily reporting of materials and resources used to complete worksTrain employees to ensure safe operations of machinery at all timesActive participation in preventing and correcting design and delivery issuesLead and demonstrate commitment to safety, environment, and quality performanceCompletion of job inspections, site inspection forms, daily job specific risk assessments and ensuring all pre-start checks are completed prior to work commencingEnsure all documentation is completed in full and correctly and forwarded on to relevant departments in the required time framesOther duties as required
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following essential skills and experience:
Previous experience in Asphalt, Civil Road Construction, Bitumen Industry or equivalent is essentialValid White cardValid Driver's LicenceExcellent communicationAble to lead and motivate a teamAble to handle multiple responsibilitiesAble to work & live away from home when required
