Product Development Expert
About the Role:
Dyno Nobel is a global leader in commercial explosives, delivering cutting-edge blasting solutions and quality products to customers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Product Development Expert to join our team.
As a Product Development Expert, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing DNL products, processes, and technologies to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused solutions. You will conduct laboratory testing, product formulation, raw material assessments, and field trial coordination while providing technical advice across the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting laboratory testing, formulation work, and product development to improve existing products and create new technologies.
2. Coordinating product performance, stability testing, and field trials, ensuring safe and effective in-use performance.
3. Assessing raw materials for cost effectiveness, quality, and compatibility, and supporting product quality control processes.
4. Providing technical advice to customers and internal stakeholders to support safe, efficient use of IPL products.
5. Maintaining accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with ISO ****, HSEC policies, and relevant legislation.
6. Troubleshooting product-related issues and supporting continuous improvement in laboratory practices, instrumentation, and product chemistry.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have exceptional analytical and testing skills, good technical report writing and communication skills, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with key personnel in the Technology, Engineering, Customers, and Operational departments.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry.
* Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, product manufacturing, colloidal chemistry, organic chemistry, explosives chemistry.
* Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised in a proactive manner.
