About the role: Crime Stoppers Team Leaders work in the Crime Stoppers Call Centre within the State Intelligence Division of the Prevention, Intelligence, Evidence, Data Insights Directorate of Victoria Police. You will be responsible for managing the operation of the Call Centre which receives information from the public via telephone and online reports. This information is converted into information reports which are disseminated to relevant areas for investigation. The Crime Stoppers Call Centre operates every day of the year, including public holidays. Call Centre hours are currently between 7 am and 8 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends. The hours of operation can increase, however, to between 7 am and 11 pm seven days per week. Crime Stoppers Team Leaders are required to work shift work to cover these hours of operation. The Crime Stoppers Program provides the community an opportunity to report information about crime in a confidential manner. Your duties will include: * Manage the operation of the Crime Stoppers Call Centre * Disseminate information reports to relevant areas within Victoria Police and to external agencies for investigation * Supervise Call Centre staff * Ensure reports are accurate, compliant with policy and take remedial action where required * Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders * Provide update reports to Crime Stoppers Unit's management * Manage the training, welfare and personal development of Call Centre staff About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Demonstrated experience in managing a team * Demonstrated ability to achieve results * Well developed communication skills (both verbal and written) * Understanding of the customer service requirements of the role and the needs of members of the public who contact the service * A good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures to enable the provision of accurate advice * Ability to solve service delivery problems and manage resource allocation * Proven interpersonal skills * Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of personnel and members of the public * Proven record of ethical behaviour and demonstrated commitment to the Victoria Police Values (Courage, Compassion, Respect, Integrity and Professionalism) Further Information: * One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available. * This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. * This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement). * The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.
