The Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) is the voice for Australia’s ocean. We are Australia’s leading ocean conservation organisation and one of the founding members of Australia’s conservation movement.

* Location: Brisbane (Meanjin) other locations also considered for the right candidate
* Employment type: Permanent Full Time commencing as soon as possible
* Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week (1.0 FTE), with flexibility to consider part-time (0.8 FTE, 30.4 hours per week).
* Salary: $88 809 - $101 607 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation (12.5%). Level 4 AMCS Classification, Aligned with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
The Opportunity

As our Fundraising Appeals & Acquisition Specialist, you’ll lead the development and delivery of donor acquisition campaigns that fuel our mission. The role develops a direct mail plan and works closely with the broader fundraising team and external agencies to deliver a multi-channel approach. You’ll combine creativity, data and strategy to bring new supporters into the movement to fund our critical work – taking action on the big issues facing our oceans.

What you’ll bring
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing/ fundraising (desirable)
* 2- 5 years experience in direct mail.
* Proven expertise in multi-channel donor acquisition (direct mail, digital), including copywriting, data management, and ROI analysis.
* Strong project management skills, with experience coordinating agencies, printers, and suppliers.
* High-level stakeholder engagement and mentoring experience.
Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), compliance (FIA Code, legislation), and ethical fundraising.
* Commitment to upholding AMCS’ values and a passion for protecting our oceans and marine life.
