The role of an Enrolled Nurse is to support a registered nurse in delivering high-quality patient care, as specified by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide person-centred, safe, and quality care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
* To work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and effective patient outcomes.
* To maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in providing evidence-based care, adhering to relevant legislation and context of care.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases, as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
About You:
* A strong understanding of contemporary clinical knowledge and experience in general medical and surgical nursing, or a passion to learn and work with these patient groups.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to escalate issues to a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife when necessary.
* A proven track record of delivering high-quality services to patients, families, and caregivers, demonstrating empathy, rapport-building skills, and active listening.
