Indigeco is supporting a major NSW Government Department in sourcing 10 x Call/Contact Centre Operators for an upcoming project within their Road Safety business line.

About the Role:
These roles are based onsite only at the Newcastle Contact Centre. Successful applicants will work within a structured and supportive team, responding to customer enquiries and providing accurate, timely information.
The contact centre operates from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend or public holiday work is required.
Assignment Details:
* Start Date: 16/02/2026
End Date: 15/08/2026
* Hours: 35 hours per week / 7 hours per day
* Pay Rate: $35.80 per hour + super
* Location: Newcastle (Onsite only)
Roster Structure:This position operates on a 2-week rotating roster, with each shift pattern maintained for a 4-week period before changing. You will not work the same shift twice in consecutive rosters.
Shifts include:
* Early shifts (around 7:00 am start)
* Mid shifts (around 9:00 am–10:00 am start)
* Late shifts (around 11:00 am start)
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality customer service across multiple channels
* Handle enquiries, research information and resolve customer issues
* Maintain and update accurate records in accordance with processes
* Assist customers in navigating digital and online services
* Escalate issues where required and comply with organisational guidelines
* Contribute to team objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives
Key Requirements
* 2 - 3 years of customer service experience (call centre, admin, retail, or office-based environments)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Solid computer capabilities, including accurate typing and confident navigation across multiple systems
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
* Strong email etiquette and documentation accuracy
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
* Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
* Professional demeanour and ability to remain calm under pressure
* Government experience is preferred but not essential
Work Arrangement:
These positions are onsite only. No hybrid or remote work arrangements are available.
Shortlisted candidates must attend an in-person Assessment Centre in Newcastle, which will take approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
