Portland District Health (PDH) provides integrated healthcare and services in the Glenelg Shire in the rural City of Portland in cooperation with other regional health services. Situated in the South West of Victoria, Portland is set by the sea with modern amenities. Located about 370 kilometres from Melbourne, PDH has a long history of servicing this community. Around 435 dedicated staff provide a range of services across acute, primary health and aged residential care services.
The Executive Director of Clinical Services (EDCS) provides strategic leadership and operational management of the Nursing / Midwifery, Primary Care and Allied Health Directorate. The EDCS is responsible for the development of clinical standards of care and metrics to ensure a high quality, safe, accessible and responsive consumer experience at PDH. The EDCS fosters collaborative relationships across the organisation and Network to ensure PDH's clinical services are coordinated, fiscally appropriate and prioritised to meet consumer health needs.
To be considered for this role, you will hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the AHPRA and preferably a postgraduate qualification in health, business or management. You will have extensive experience in a senior management position in healthcare with a demonstrated record of achievement within a complex health care environment; able to formulate and establish an integrated approach to achieve organisational objectives. You will likewise have substantial experience leading people and change management strategies including an understanding of industrial relations with knowledge of relevant Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and processes.
