Registered Nurse Division One/Two
(Part-time position 9am-5pm Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
Bendigo Primary Care Centre is growing its nursing team to support our growing primary healthcare clinic.
Bendigo Primary Care Centre (BPCC) is a Not-for-Profit Centre of Excellence, that provides best practice and multi-professional primary care services to the population of Greater Bendigo. As well as a modern, well equipped health facility, BPCC provides a collegiate environment with great teaching and learning opportunities, including weekly in-house professional development sessions.
Our busy GP Super-Clinic is looking for dynamic and dedicated Registered Nurses (Div 1 or 2) to join our Nursing team. We are looking for nurses that are passionate about health promotion, disease prevention and management and are able to provide patient focused clinical support to our doctors, across all aspects of general practice.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Chronic Condition Management Plans
* Health Assessments
* Childhood and Adult Immunisations
* Wound Care
* Assisting with minor procedures including skin excisions and Implanon insertion/removal
* Iron or Aclasta infusions
* Patient triage and emergency care
* Cold chain management
* Maintaining recall & results systems
* Medical Supply Ordering
* Maintaining Infection control standards
Essential Criteria
* Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA
* Working with Children's Check and Current Police check
* Fully immunised
* Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience required
Desirable
* Experience in General Practice
* Experience with Best Practice software
* Knowledge of relevant MBS items
