Job Description About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre We are a client‑centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, skilled training and primary prevention initiatives.
About The Role This role ensures the effective day‑to‑day operations, service coordination, staff management, and continuous improvement of care delivery to meet the needs of clients experiencing sexual assault and family violence.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations and Business Services, this operationally focused position oversees approximately 70 staff across both regions and ensures services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organisational standards, policies, and contractual obligations. The role works collaboratively with the executive leadership team, with strategic direction and governance oversight provided by the Executive Director.

Desired Skills and Experience About You
With Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, public health, business management, or related field you will have the following experience;
Demonstrated experience in operational management of complex service delivery, preferably in the community services or not for profit sector
Proven ability to manage and lead teams, including staff supervision, performance management, and professional development
Strong operational skills including budget management, resource allocation, and process improvement
Understanding of sexual assault and family violence service delivery frameworks and best practice approaches
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements for community services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed practice and client‑centred service delivery
Current driver's licence and commitment to travel regularly between regional offices

Period of Appointment This position is ongoing, subject to funding.
Hours of work The position is full time Location of the position is located in either Warrnambool or Geelong with regular travel to regional services, including Horsham.
Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday.
The days are based on the needs of the service. Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises.

Individual contract and the salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
Personal use of vehicle, phone and laptop are provided. Superannuation payments in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act.
Industrial Instrument : The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time.
