Safely delivering next-generation infrastructure that better connects people and transforms communities is at the heart of what we do.About the OpportunityCPB Contractors has been selected to deliver the Screening and Baggage Upgrade at Melbourne Airport Terminal 1 and we are looking for an experienced Night Shift Foreman to join our team. This project has multiple workstreams that will need to be upgraded as part of this project including the customer and staff screening locations, self service baggage drop, baggage handling screening machines, access control upgrades and CCTV upgrades. These upgrades will be throughout the entire Qantas terminal and will have a direct impact on improving bagging handling and customer experience throughout the terminal. This project will be carried out in the live environment of the Qantas terminal and as such we will require a large amount of these works to be carried out of hours.The role accountabilities include: Enforce and promote safety culture and requirements on siteEnsure Compliance with Permits and approval to workBe the first point of call during the night shift activitiesEnsure that all activities are carried out per the plan and agreed processBe an integral part of the quality process including carry out inspectionsProvide Daily Reporting of the shifts activitiesProvide Daily requirements to the Day Shift team to ensure preparations are made for the following night Minimum requirements for this role are: Relevant Trade CertificateConstruction site experienceAbility to work autonomouslyStrong communications skillsExperience in working in live or brownfield environmentsWillingness to work Night Shift This role will be a great opportunity for an experienced site supervisor that wants to develop into a site managers role as we are looking for someone that will be able to take charge and responsibility of the site during their shift. As this is an operationally live environment success in this role will be highly regarded and looked favourable on for a candidate that is interested in career advancement. There will be significant resources put towards the planning activities of each shift which will be carried out by the day shift so the communication and feedback to the day shift and night shift will be of most important.
