About the role
We are seeking passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educators to join our dynamic team at First Steps in Gatton, Queensland. This role will see you play a vital part in providing quality early childhood education and care to children in our local community.
What you'll be doing
* Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs and activities that foster children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
* Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children in your care
* Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to plan and implement individualised learning experiences
* Build strong relationships with children, families and the broader community
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to childcare and outside school hours care
* Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
* Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and standards
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field
* Previous experience working in a childcare or early learning environment
* Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid Working with Children Check
* Australian work authorisation is required for this position
