The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Support Officer to join a high-performing commercial team operating within a technically complex maritime sustainment environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic procurement, contract management and commercial governance activities that underpin the delivery and optimisation of specialised maritime capabilities across complex programs.
Your duties will include:
* Providing commercial and procurement advice to program and executive stakeholders
* Supporting development of commercial strategies, procurement documentation and contract artefacts
* Assisting with tender processes, evaluations and contract formation using relevant frameworks
* Contributing to contract administration, performance monitoring and risk management activities
* Maintaining contract management plans, commercial registers and governance documentation
* Supporting training and uplift of commercial capability within Defence teams
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related discipline
* Demonstrated experience with Defence frameworks and Commonwealth procurement processes
* Background in maritime projects or complex contract management environments
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate in technically complex settings
* High attention to detail with well-developed analytical and documentation skills
