We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Permanent positionFull time (76 hours per fortnight)Managers and Administrative Worker Grade 2 Level 1 (HS2)Located at The AlfredGreat staff benefits!The DepartmentThe Alfred Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which involves a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Trials, Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The Alfred Health Clinical Haematology and Medical Oncology service offers a multidisciplinary setting for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of the entire range of haematological and oncological diseases.The RoleAlfred Cancer are seeking Administrative Patient Navigators who are an integral part of the haematology/medical oncology multi-disciplinary team, playing an important role in providing the first line response to incoming calls from patients, carers and referrers in the community. They are an expert in supporting patient flow through the cancer care system and in facilitating timely patient access. Patient Navigators provide administrative support for multidisciplinary team meetings as well as ensuring patient appointments are scheduled and billed appropriately.
