Veterinarian wanted (new grads are welcome to apply)
We are doing vet practice differently with leadership that makes your job easier and is focused on your career fulfillment.
We would love a new grad so that we can empower you to be the best version of yourself. However, we will consider veterinarians of all different levels of experience. We also have a structured empowerment program and dedicated weekly training. This training is not solely about cases and surgeries; it's about confidence building.
What We Offer:
No after-hours duties – We refer patients that require 24h care.
No 'reasonable' overtime – We don't believe in such a thing. If you work, you get paid.
Dedicated mentorship & support – You will have me, (Ale). I hold a PhD in the veterinary workforce, giving me a deep understanding of job satisfaction and the factors that contribute to workplace stress. I use this knowledge to create a supportive environment that helps prevent or reduce stressors, ensuring a more fulfilling work experience.
Dedicated support from colleagues – Sole charge is minimal. We have dedicated one afternoon a week for meetings, training, and all sorts of things.
Tailored learning & development – we create an upskilling and learning plan just for you.
Flexible work options – full-time, part-time, and FIFO arrangements available
Above-award salary – Salary is obviously above award starting at $50/hr. This will be negotiable based on experience and skill set.
Accommodation & travel allowances negotiable if needed – we'll help make the transition easy.
A well-supported workflow – you'll have the time to call clients, review histories, manage hospital patients, and see emergencies without being rushed between consults.
A dedicated nurse to assist you – helping with medical records, billing, and patient care, so you're not left unsupported.
A commitment to best practices – we continuously improve our protocols with staff input and evidence-based medicine
What We Need From You:
Provide high-quality veterinary medicine to our patients and clients
Be available in Port Augusta at least three days a week. You don't have to live here if you don't want to, we can have FIFO arrangements.
While we are 99% small animal, a vet with an interest in basic equine and hobby farm animal care would be fantastic
Short-term contracts are available if you'd like to check things out first.
If you're looking for a workplace where leadership provides the tools and support you need to thrive, let's chat Apply now or reach out for a confidential conversation.
