The Assistant Director is part of the National Rehabilitation Services team in the Client Access and Rehabilitation Branch and is responsible for the national service delivery of Household Services (HHS), and Attendant Care (AC).
The role of the HHS & AC team is to enable eligible clients to access household services, which assists these clients to manage and maintain their household.
**Duties**
- Manage the day to day operations of the HHS & AC team to ensure relevant activities are achieved. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with set service delivery standards.
- Monitoring operational performance.
- Contributing to national reporting and analysis tasks.
- Monitoring behavior and work standards within the team.
- Work collegiately with the rehabilitation support team and rehabilitation admin team to ensure effective delivery of the work of the section.
- Provide direction to the team through mentoring, coaching and performance management.
- Undertake recruitment activities and ensure the team members are trained and resourced appropriately to meet service standards.
- Contribute to Ministerial briefs and requests for information as required.
- Investigate complaints and where required instigate remedial action.
- Drive innovation and improvement in service delivery, promoting continuous improvement amongst the RS teams.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the section and provide input into operational, compliance, and general management issues.
- Represent the section at both internal and external meetings and forums as directed.
- Undertake additional duties as directed.
