Early Childhood Educator Opportunity
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking to expand its pool of Casual Early Childhood Educators.
The successful applicants will be experienced, self-motivated and passionate about the education and care of young children. They will have a desire to be part of an organisation that values the wellness, safety and education of children aged 0-5 years.
This position will be based at our Children's Services facility located in William Street. The centre provides a high level of education and care and as the Early Childhood Educator you will contribute to making the service a point of difference from other child care providers.
The position will work alongside a team of professionals responsible for room management, child health and safety, education and planning, and enriching children's lives through play-based learning.
* Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Working toward the qualification: This qualification demonstrates your ability to provide quality educational programs for children aged 0-5 years.
* A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program: Your understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework will enable you to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for children.
* A working knowledge of National Quality Standards, Education and Care Regulations and National Law: You will have a solid understanding of the regulatory framework governing early childhood education and care.
* Experience in a similar role in an Education and Care setting: Your previous experience will demonstrate your ability to work effectively with children and families.
* Experienced in the provision of quality educational programs for children aged 0 to 5 years of age: Your experience in delivering high-quality educational programs will ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
* The ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment: As a team player, you will be able to collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills: Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management training: Your up-to-date first aid training will ensure your ability to respond to emergencies.
* Current HLTAID010 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation: You will be trained in providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is essential in emergency situations.
* Current approved Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001): Your child protection training will enable you to identify and respond to signs of abuse or neglect.
* Ability to take on the Role of Responsible Person when required: You will be able to assume responsibility for specific tasks or areas of the service.
* Current paid Working with Children Check: You will have undergone a Working with Children Check, which is mandatory for all staff members.
This position requires a pre-employment health assessment, which includes a functional, audio, and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $34.34 per hour
Position Status: Casual
Hours of work: As required, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday
