The HR team delivers its services through business aligned Business Partner and hrAssist teams, and specialised teams providing Workplace Relations, Safety and Ethical Standards, Executive and Talent, Policy and Programs, Workforce Strategy and Workforce Insights and HR Systems.As The Human Resources Officer, You Will:Collaborate effectively with others across the HR team to triage queries and provide timely and accurate responses to HR enquiries received from employees and managers.Process vacancy management activities including advertising and recruitment requests, issuing expressions of interest, and accurately maintaining the vacancy management register.Co-ordinate, monitor, and facilitate the payment of HR related invoices, in line with relevant policies and procedures.Action employment visa queries and assist the team with criminal history clearances.Process establishment management requests through a centralised approach, ensuring consistency practices across the Department.Assist the Team Leader with coaching hrAssist team members and employees on hrAssist practices and processes and the HR systems.Assist with actioning contingent labour hire engagement requests and queries.Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, update registers, and maintain accurate record keeping.Support the delivery of HR programs, projects, and initiatives as required.Support the optimising of HR processes by contributing to identifying and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of HR services, products, and processes.Perform administrative and business support activities to the broader HR team.What are we looking for?Ability to interpret and apply HR legislative and employment frameworks, policies, and procedures relating to employment conditions to provide sound, consistent advice and to resolve queries.Ability to work autonomously with general supervision and as part of a team to deliver on the team's program of work.Professional approach to building relationships with clear, concise, and respectful communication skills, both written and verbal, including active listening.Strong attention to detail and experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office suite of applications to analyse and manipulate, validate and produce workforce data, reports, and documents.Identify issues which could impact on delivering outcomes to a high standard.Refer to the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities and what we are looking for.Join our team - deliver excellence in customer service, make a difference, and shape the future of Queensland.
