Production Underwriter
About the Role:
The Production Underwriter is responsible for managing market engagement and underwriting medium to complex risks within our portfolios. This role involves developing new business opportunities in partnership with the Regional Underwriting Manager to achieve profitable premium growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Profitability - growth and sustainability in the Victorian portfolio
* Underwriting new business and renewals tailored to clients and brokers needs
* Maximising renewal retention
* Supporting Ansvar's Pricing Strategy and referral philosophy
* Delivering professional and efficient customer service
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Reasonable time working within insurance roles
* Knowledge of property and casualty underwriting and policy wording
* High level of underwriting knowledge
* Knowledge of core segments Ansvar operates in
* Catalysing less experienced colleagues - technically and in soft skills
* Building positive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
