Job Overview
The ideal candidate will oversee kitchen operations, supervising staff and ensuring high-quality food preparation.
Main Responsibilities Include:
* Preparing and presenting meals for regular service and functions
* Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff activities
* Collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to plan menus and recipes
* Providing cost estimates for new menu items
* Inspecting received products for quantity and quality
* Monitoring stock levels and maintaining inventory control
* Ensuring equipment and work areas meet health and safety standards
Qualifications and Experience:
* AQF Diploma and 1 year of relevant experience required for Chef position
* AQF Cert III with 2 years of on-the-job experience or Cert IV for Cook position
* Applicants with qualifications must demonstrate 1 year of relevant experience
* 3 years of relevant experience may replace qualification requirement for Restaurant Manager position
