About the role

The Clinical Coordinator for Southern Country CAMHS leads a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical direction and ensuring best practice standards in child and adolescent mental health care. They collaborate with stakeholders, guide complex cases, and are accountable for delivering high-quality, integrated patient care.

This position is based in the Southern Country Team, with primary locations in Riverland and Mount Gambier. Preference will be given to candidates located at outer sites, otherwise, regular travel to Riverland and Mount Gambier will be required.

Key duties of the role

* Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and high-quality client mental health care, including expert consultation on complex triage cases.
* Oversee the development and adaptation of local clinical processes (e.g., assessments, reviews) based on service needs and system evaluations.
* Foster internal and external partnerships, leveraging mental health expertise to optimize client outcomes.
* Promote continuous clinical learning and provide staff development opportunities grounded in evidence-based practice.

Skills and Experience

* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia within an endorsed practice for clinical practice; or
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
* Proven leadership experience, including the ability to coordinate workflow and the work of others, ensure that work meets required standards, motivate other professional staff, and foster team member participation in decision making.
* Demonstrated experience in an area of child and adolescent mental health and working with children, adolescents, and their families, having a wide range of emotional, social, and behavioural issues.
