Role Overview
Kitchen Porter is a key position within our organisation, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and equipment, adhering to NHS National Cleaning Specifications. This role involves delivering meals and provisions to ward areas, ensuring paperwork completion, general cleaning of kitchen and equipment, safe use of chemicals and protective clothing, reporting defective equipment and compliance with COSHH regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* General cleaning of kitchen and equipment to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
* Delivery of meals and provisions to designated areas, ensuring prompt and efficient service
* Maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen area, adhering to regulatory requirements
* Safe use and handling of chemicals and protective clothing, following established protocols
* Reporting of defective equipment and maintenance of COSHH compliance, ensuring smooth operations
Working Arrangements
This role requires a 30-hour workweek on a two-week rota, with varying shifts including weekends. Weekend shifts are paid at the current NHS additional enhanced rate of pay.
