Job Description
The Director Strategic Planning is a pivotal role in driving the development of diverse and sustainable housing solutions for South Australians. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to the Minister for Planning and executive leadership team on strategic planning policy within South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and enhance the integrity of the Planning and Design Code, including oversight of state significant Code Amendments.
* Lead the ongoing evolution of the Greater Adelaide Region Plan and Country Regional Plans, working with local government and state agencies on long-term land-use planning actions and investigations.
* Partner with local government on the development and implementation of local housing strategies.
Requirements
High-level expertise in planning and development processes and procedures, understanding of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act, and associated codes and regulations.
Extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework and compliance requirements specific to the housing and development sector in government.
