**The Company**:
Our client is a highly established and award-winning residential construction company, due to continued high levels of growth are now looking to hire an additional experienced Construction Manager to join their busy senior leadership team, working and managing Melbourne's busy Northern suburbs.
**Position Description**:
The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring all projects are running on time, on budget and to the highest quality during the construction to warranty stages of the project.
**Key Responsibilities of the Role**:
- Undertake internal project review meeting with Site Supervisor team
- Managing 3 Site Supervisors
- Working closely with the company Building Manager
- Monitor WHS inspection completions and site safety is being undertaken
- Provide training, mentorship, motivation, guidance and support to
- Manage and build on the strong working relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Solve disputes, issues with peers, contractors, and clients
- Monitor workflow and completion dates
- Undertake weekly operations meeting with individual supervisors
- Update construction KPI systems and record progress
- Monitor progress and ensure items are completed in a timely matter
- Implementing mandatory quality assurance stage inspections throughout the build process minimising errors/defects on completion
- Working alongside other members of the senior management team
**Role Requirements**:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in construction management with a home building company.
- Trade background or Project Management/relevant construction tertiary education would be highly advantageous.
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn new systems and software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Understand how to train and motivate staff and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes
