The role of a statutory compliance officer is to ensure that our organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations. This involves managing relationships with external parties, coordinating applications for consent and permits, and updating business information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinating and managing application processes for works requiring access to roads reserves or operational rail/tram corridors
">
* Reviewing the Works Program to identify projects that require approval, consent, or permit for completion
">
* Assisting in the development of awareness programs to inform internal and external stakeholders about organizational responsibilities
">
* Liaising with affected stakeholders regarding exemptions and their requirements
">
* Updating key stakeholder networks to review and improve program delivery
">

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A successful completion of VCE or Certificate III in Business Administration
">
* Good document management skills
">
* High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize time-critical outcomes
">
* A working knowledge of the electricity distribution network
">
* Demonstrated commitment to health and safety (through an understanding of principles/concepts)

* Well-developed oral and written communication skills

* Ability to understand and interpret applicable legislation and codes of practice
