As the Head of Special Education Services, you will lead and manage the inclusion agenda in line with the school's vision and values.Your strategic work includes (but is not limited to):
- Achieving positive educational outcomes for our students by supporting the ongoing development of inclusion focused quality teaching and learning practices and nurturing productive relationships within the school and across the wider community;
- Leading a team to case manage students with disabilities, working with teachers, support staff, and external organisations to enhance the quality of differentiation within classrooms;
- Embedding socially just practices in daily school life;
- Setting high standards for student and staff performance;
- Participating actively in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development;
- Forming partnerships with parents, other government agencies, and community groups;
- Futures oriented and strategic leadership;
- Understanding the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students with disability;
- Managing the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the faculty to achieve goals.
