Central Coast Haematology is a reputable and busy specialist practice dedicated to providing high-level, compassionate care to patients across the Central Coast.
We operate from well-established rooms in both North Gosford and Kanwal, fostering a dynamic and fast-paced environment where our team works collaboratively to support patient health journeys.
Our team consists of 2 secretarial staff, 3 Haematologist and 1 Nurse Practitioner.
We are currently expanding our administration team and seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join us.
This is a part-time role (3 days a week) with the flexibility to cover shifts as required by practice leave schedules at both Kanwal and North Gosford locations.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a proactive individual with a minimum of three years of essential medical administration experience.
The successful candidate will be a positive, effective communicator with high-level IT skills, capable of taking initiative and thriving in both autonomous and team settings while managing pressure effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years' medical administration experience (essential).
Proficiency in handling a high-volume switchboard and multi-tasking.
Experience in hospital billing (desirable), processing Medicare/DVA claims, and managing Medicare rejections.
Prior specialist practice experience is highly regarded.
Familiarity with Audit4 software (desirable).
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Warmly greeting and assisting patients with enquiries.
Managing patient billing and scheduling appointments.
Operating a busy switchboard and facilitating Telehealth consultations.
Liaising effectively with public and private hospitals for patient procedures.
Ensuring accuracy in processing claims and proofing correspondence.
