Job Description
Our client is an Australian based company whose focus is on supplying quality agricultural equipment and spare parts to modern horticultural growers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the horticultural sector, with particular focus on the irrigation systems.
This is a remote role but you will need to be based within the Bundaberg region as this is the main target area for expanding new and existing sales.
Key Responsibilities for the Irrigation Sales Specialist role include:
Be the face of an expanding business in the prime Wide Bay Burnett region
Have a strong focus on sales, product support and customer service
Have a mechanical & maintenance background so you can identify and provide technical parts support
Strong knowledge base and background in irrigation systems and key components including drippers, driplines, irrigation control valves, water filters, pipes and fittings and mini valves and connectors, etc.
Key qualities for successful applicants:
Minimum 5 years experience with irrigation systems on an independent farm
Have a strong local network in the region
Have the ability to test products with potential users
Willingness to travel in and around the Wide Bay Burnett
Have excellent communication, networking and relationship building abilities
Be organised, efficient, and demonstrate strong initiative whilst working independently
Be able to regularly coordinate with other members of the company, and all other relevant associations
Current and valid driver's licence
