Job Summary:
This position involves spearheading sales strategies tailored to the utilities market, driving growth in utility-scale energy storage solutions. The role requires developing and executing sales plans, building and nurturing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. Collaboration with product development, marketing, and engineering teams ensures battery solutions meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets for the APAC region.
* Identify, build, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers from utility companies, project developers, EPCs, etc.
* Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports, and analyze performance data to track progress against goals. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
* Analyze market trends and customer needs to position products effectively.
* Lead the sales team in generating leads, preparing proposals, and closing deals. Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure timely and accurate forecasting.
* Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to achieve individual and team goals.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and customer support teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives. Participate in industry events and conferences to represent the company and stay abreast of industry developments.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of business development experience working on large-scale utility projects within the renewable energy sector.
* Minimum 2 years of experience driving utility-scale energy storage projects.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and developing new markets.
* Strong understanding of battery energy storage systems and their applications.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Willingness to travel frequently within the APAC region.
