Housing Officer – Bathurst

Role Overview

The Housing Officer will be based in Bathurst and will provide a broad range of tenancy and property management services for a portfolio of Social and Affordable homes.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include conducting lease sign‐ups, routine inspections, ensuring all information in our system is up‐to‐date, following up any client enquiries, complaints or other issues, and maintaining close contact with clients whilst providing exceptional customer service. The Housing Officer will also work closely with the Support Coordinator to ensure our clients are receiving appropriate support to sustain their tenancies.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in tenancy and property management and/or community services (knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act highly desirable).
* Excellent administrative, planning and organisational skills, a high degree of initiative, well‐developed written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem‐solving, analytical and negotiation skills in difficult circumstances, including dealing with distressed tenants.
* Current driver's licence, ability to obtain a Police Check and Working With Children Check.

Employment Details

This is a Maternity Relief position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, until 29 January 2027.

The Housing Officer is classified as a Level 4.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $88,327 gross per annum. This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award. As a Not for Profit organisation, we have access to excellent salary sacrifice options to increase your take‐home pay.
