The Venue Operations Manager will oversee a dedicated team of venue supervisors and event delivery staff, focusing on leadership, management, and stakeholder relations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Team Management: Lead the Venue Supervisor team to deliver exceptional customer service for event delivery and venue presentation.
* Manage rostering, responsibilities, training, and performance management of the Venue Supervisor team.
* Operational Efficiency: Drive the efficiency of event processes to ensure integrated, seamless, and accurate operations.
* Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with teams and stakeholders to provide advice and uphold consistent best practice operational standards.
* Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee compliance of all venue policies, council permits, and engineering documentation.
* Policies and Procedures: Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines for event and venue operations to mitigate risk and create business improvements for efficiency.
Selection Criteria
* Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of event operations employees.
* Event Operations Expertise: Proven experience in delivering a wide range of events, particularly large-scale outdoor events.
* Infrastructure and Asset Management: Proficiency in overseeing temporary structures and infrastructure for outdoor events.
* Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of OH&S practices, council permit requirements, and weather management plans.
* Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: High-level communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
