Brand Manager
The role of a Brand Manager involves developing and executing marketing strategies to establish brand equity, drive profitable growth, and increase distribution. The successful candidate will have experience in FMCG or Consumer Goods, with a proven track record of brand positioning and strategy process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute marketing plans incorporating brand, communications, new product development, and promotional activation.
* Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Production teams to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies.
* Manage all elements of the marketing mix including product development, pricing, consumer and trade marketing initiatives.
* Ensure consistency across all communication touchpoints and maintain clear brand guidelines.
* Develop a marketing database of competitor pricing, product distribution, sponsorships, merchandising materials, and media activity.
* Effectively manage agreed marketing budget and monthly reporting.
Innovation and New Product Development:
* Identify portfolio needs and support the development of an NPD pipeline based on consumer/customer insight, market dynamics, and overall business requirements.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet nutritional, sensory, and quality standards.
* Keep up-to-date with market insights and new technology that can help secure competitive advantage for the category.
* Track and report performance of new product launches and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
Leadership & Team Management:
* Proactively build a positive team environment aligned with company values.
* Build partnerships and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in business with a major in Marketing or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years in marketing and brand management.
* FMCG or Consumer Goods experience preferred.
* Proven track record of brand positioning and brand strategy process.
* Experience in NPD ideation and execution – from concept development using the Stage Gate process.
* Experience in communication campaign development and media plan management – digital marketing & social media management.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
