An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Education team at Portland District Health.
The Education Clinical Support Nurse (Nursing and Medical) plays a key role in building workforce capability by supporting the professional development of both recent and existing staff within the multidisciplinary team.
This includes providing direct support and mentoring, coordinating training sessions, and evaluating education and training programs within the organisation.
This position will have a key role in the support of our nursing workforce, with a focus on Graduate Nurses (Enrolled and Registered) as well as supporting staff in post graduate courses.
A component of this role will focus on supporting medical staff (PGY1, PGY2 or those in training programs), ensuring training aligns with identified learning needs and Portland District Health's strategic priorities.
This role involves working collaboratively with the Medical Administration Unit and Education Team to plan and support the delivery of education and training initiatives that will strengthen our workforce.
The position is integral to fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence across the organisation.

Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of multidisciplinary health care team
Excellent communication (including conflict resolution), demonstrates a welcome persona and 'can do attitude'
Excellent written, verbal and ICT skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks
Ability to facilitate in house education training
Demonstrate the ability to be a mentor and role model to others
