Blast Physics Research
Edinburgh specializes in blast physics research to enhance the protection and effectiveness of Defence Force personnel and platforms. The key focus areas include:
* Investigating near-field, underwater, and multi-material blast physics and their interactions with platforms and personnel.
* Developing analytical and empirical tools for blast modelling and structural response analysis.
* Evaluating the effects of blast loads on protective equipment and injuries.
* Designing and delivering training courses on blast physics fundamentals and applications.
* Supporting the development of vulnerability assessment tools for platforms exposed to blast munitions.
Your Role
We're seeking Australian Citizens with expertise in:
* Experimental and theoretical aspects of blast physics.
* Blast modelling and dynamic structural response analysis.
* Development of tools for assessing platform vulnerability to blast munitions.
* Understanding of the effects of blast loading on personnel and protective equipment.
* Experience delivering training programs in blast physics or related fields.
