We are seeking a Village Recptionist to join our team at The Links at Waterford on a permanent part‑time basis. Located in Rowville’s prestigious Waterford precinct, The Links at Waterford is a boutique retirement community known for its warm, welcoming culture and high-quality living experience. As Village Administrator, you will play an integral role in supporting residents, assisting daily operations, and contributing to the smooth running of the village. Our pet‑friendly community offers a range of thoughtfully designed amenities—including a communal vegetable garden, DIY workshop, artist studio, and a clubhouse that hosts a dynamic calendar of social activities. Your work will help ensure these spaces and experiences run efficiently and continue to enrich village life. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, support the village staff across administrative and operational tasks to maintain a welcoming and well‑run community environment. Shifts The successful candidate will work a 5-day fortnight. Work shifts are as follows. Tuesday: 9am to 4pm Thursday: 9am to 4pm Every 2nd Friday: 9am to 4pm Key responsibilities include: Providing professional, courteous customer service to residents, visitors, and contractors Managing reception duties and responding to incoming enquiries Supporting the Village Manager with administrative tasks and day‑to‑day operations Maintaining accurate data records and assisting with invoicing Coordinating contractor inductions and supporting EHS compliance Conducting resident welfare checks and managing follow‑ups where required Preparing newsletters and community communications Assisting with the planning and coordination of community events and activities Carrying out ad‑hoc operational or resident‑support duties as directed by the Village Manager This position is ideal for someone who is organised, approachable, and enjoys working in a people‑centred environment where every day offers variety and meaningful connection. About YouFor this role, you will have excellent diligence and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to work autonomously to complete tasks. Your strong customer service skills will allow you to effectively consult with our residents and visitors. To be successful in your application, you will have the following; Administration and demonstrated customer service experience Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to pick up new systems Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse community Exceptional interpersonal skills with a bubbly, approachable personality that helps build trust and rapport with residents, families, and team members Be highly organised and able to prioritise competing tasks Willingness to learn and professionally develop A professional, initiative-taking and can-do attitude.
