The position available is:
Full-time (76 hours/fortnight)
Part-time hours negotiable
Working Monday to Friday

About the Location
The HASI Plus program provides support to individuals across the Tamworth and Hunter region. This is an autonomous role that offers flexibility in managing your own schedule. The position is primarily based in Tamworth, with some travel required to the Hunter.
Relocation assistance may be considered for the right applicant.

Based in the New England and Hunter regions, the Mental Health Clinician with the HASI Plus program offers the chance to make lasting impact in the lives of people with complex mental health issues.HASI Plus is a dynamic, collaborative residential support initiative delivered by Flourish Australia in partnership with the Hunter New England Local Health District.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll be at the heart of this mission - offering expert clinical guidance, championing recovery-oriented care, and working closely with participants, families, carers, and a broad network of stakeholders. You'll also play a key role in shaping service delivery through in-house training, strategic partnerships with NSW Health, and ongoing professional collaboration across the allied health sector.
About You
In this role, you'll design and deliver proactive, person-led interventions that empower individuals to better understand their mental health, build resilience and develop opportunities for community integration.We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, independent role and is ready to take the clinical lead in a collaborative, recovery-focused environment. The ideal candidate will:
Lead with confidence - Work autonomously, show initiative and guide clinical practice with clarity and compassion.
Bring clinical expertise - Apply a deep understanding of mental health interventions to support meaningful outcomes.
Build strong partnerships - Collaborate with allied health professionals and community networks to expand choice and support for participants.
Champion recovery - Embed person-led, recovery-oriented practices into every aspect of care.
Empower others - Deliver psycho-education and training to build the capacity of non-clinical staff and strengthen the whole team.
Selection Criteria
Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or other allied health disciplines recognised by the tertiary mental health services sector
Eligibility for membership of the appropriate professional body (e.g. APHRA, AASW)
Specialist mental health skills and experience working in a clinical setting.
Ability to assess performance deficiencies and invoke reasonable effective and supportive programs for improvement
Advanced understanding and demonstrated application of recovery-oriented services
